The commentary and stories that follow are a parallel to the two witnesses of Revelation 11. I am not saying that the work of the two witnesses of Revelation are by any means finished YET. However, they symbolize a major theme regarding our receptivity to the WORDS of TRUTH found in the BIBLE!
There is a debate as to who the two witnesses of revelation are in the Bible and during 1260 days of tribulation in the end times. Do not fear the phrase “end times.” It is simply a period of time where certain things must happen according to God’s GOOD WILL and PURPOSE. However, I do believe the role of two witnesses, in EVERYONE’S LIVES is very important. Enoch, Moses, and Elijah are all candidates for the two witnesses. Honestly, it doesn’t matter about being right about exactly who. It is more important to know WHO THEY POINT TO; that would be the THIRD WITNESS and BEST WITNESS, Jesus Christ, who will be revealed TO ALL at the end of the age as the ONE TRUE MESSIAH for ALL TIME!
My Two Personal Witnesses in Times of Trouble & the Everlasting Witness!
- The story of Gideon: Judges 6-8 Have any of you seen the movie “300”? Well, if you have, you know what kind of warrior and leader Gideon was; and for the record, the Bible story of Gideon is the true story regarding the 300 brave men who rode into battle conquering what the Lord willed. However, it wasn’t because of Gideon (the name meaning “to cut to pieces”); rather, it was because of GOD, the one Gideon trusted in for absolute certainty for victory in battle that Gideon was able to become who He was in LORD.
- At one point in my life, I was at my wit’s end. I was playing varsity football at Peters Township High School and I suffered severe concussion symptoms (coupled with the fact I was constantly ridiculed because of my faith in Jesus Christ). God blessed me with the gift of athleticism. However, I wasn’t fully giving the glory to Him & thus I never fully achieved my potential. I am glad I did not continue down the path of playing football because I am called to be a friend, and possibly a husband & father in the future.
- I am not sure if I even remembered hearing the story of Gideon when I was younger, but when I was in the lowest of the low, I had a vision of a man in the early morning light standing at a light post, and I heard the name, “Gideon” spoken to me. I don’t even know how it happened, but when I heard the name Gideon, I remembered that he was a man of God in the Bible, and that I was being called to be a MAN OF GOD so that others would be encouraged by my testimony. I never thought I would make it out alive, but I did; it is because Jesus is ALIVE, and HE ALWAYS WILL BE. And for those of us that ACCEPT His Sacrifice on the Cross; we too will LIVE FOREVER WITH HIM in GLORY!
- The story of Micaiah, A Prophet of the LORD: 1 Kings 22 Talk about being bold in faithfulness to the ONE TRUE KING. So, many of you probably know of King Ahab. What few people know is that Micaiah was the one who prophesied his death (due to a wound in a battle to come). MICAIAH (the name meaning, “Who is like YAH?”) risked his well-being by telling an evil king a tough truth. That he would surely die and that the Lord’s hand was against him. He was thrown in prison for this and that’s the last time you hear about Micaiah. But somehow, Jesus allowed the story of Micaiah the Prophet to cry out to me in the midst of the storm. The Heavenly Multitude is constantly praying for the saints who remain on earth to this day. So be bold like Micaiah, and seek God’s divine awesomeness in the plans he has for you in the future.
- One day, once again, when I felt like I was at my wit’s end when it came to relationships with girls (it was after a break-up with a very harmful female relationship in my life), God spoke the name “Micaiah” to me in my thoughts and I was perplexed. Who/what on earth is that? First, I had to google this name. It probably took me 20 minutes just to get the correct spelling (doh!). Then, finally, I came upon the name and beauty of the story. It is amazing how God can say one word, and it turns into something beyond what we could possibly imagine!
- I know that I myself I am not a prophet. Jesus Christ is the one TRUE and HOLY prophet. However, we can deliver messages and provide insight on the Word of God. One thing I learned from my Youth Group growing up is that GOD is our figurative Satellite, and we are his network of believers by the POWER of the Holy Spirit! (The name was Satellite Youth, if you hadn’t guessed already…) This may sound crazy; but God has been calling me out of the complacency of my daily routine to come higher and prophesy against those around the world that promote evil.
- It is a very tough thing to hear; but I believe the Lord has been calling me to prophesy against Barrack Hussein Obama. Some believe he is the antichrist and many believe he has the spirit of the antichrist. I am against the enemies of the one True and Living God. Pray for me as I continue to find out how to get my message out in a way that is pleasing to God. Spiritual warfare in my life has been heavy because of the heaviness surrounding this word. The enemy knows my message is CRIPPLING to their evil plans. But I made a choice to follow Jesus Christ, our main PARTNER in life. It is always high time to foil and spring the traps of the enemy and PROCLAIM THE VICTORY of JESUS CHRIST! I will NOT TIRE in doing good because that’s what are our Lord Jesus Christ did with every single ounce of time because He HAS always been!
- The story of Jesus Christ, my PERSONAL LORD & SAVIOR: I will keep this short, and to the point. The MESSIAH is JESUS CHRIST! The OT prophets and the law all point to him as the man who fulfills every word spoken in the Old Testament & the New Testament. The HOLY SPIRIT, which was gifted to us at PENTECOST continues to TESTIFY regarding the name of JESUS!
I don’t know who you but your past (no matter how terrible it may seem to you, or how bad the enemy tries to trick you into it being) is NOT TOO MUCH for GOD to carry on His Shoulders! Jesus Christ HAD ALL SIN EVER COMMITTED placed upon Him when He died on the CROSS almost 2,000 years ago. If you believe in your heart, that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, and you confess with YOUR MOUTH, that GOD HIMSELF raised HIM FROM THE DEAD, you will be saved from hell and inherit salvation, the greatest gift. Hell is real place, but you do not have to spend a second there. Heaven is for self-aware sinners who know that JESUS saved THEM and believe. I pray that you will find JESUS and let HIM guide your life down RIGHT PATHS!
