There is a darkness that is enveloping the landscape of our country, the United States of America. The rest of the world laughs at what we have now become but a great remnant remains who pray on its behalf and seek leadership who fear God. This country was founded by men who did their best to escape the tyranny of the British Empire to set up a land where people would hopefully be truly free from oppression, wickedness, and religious persecution. Those who put their Faith, Hope, and Love in Jesus Christ were spared from terrible misery. Many were killed and even more were continually tempted and tried for their unfailing faith! We live in days that are increasingly growing darker in regards to the government that is supposed to work for us. The time is coming when those who go against the government will have no voice.
The good news is this: Jesus Christ, by the Power of the Holy Spirit, groans on our behalf because we desired not to be ruled by evil kings and surrounded by evil people. There is always Hope.
Jesus Christ calls us to be Children of Light. Jesus Christ is the Light! Can you see Him? He is trying to open the door of your heart! Do you hear Him knocking? Ask for Him to enter and NEVER LEAVE and He is Righteous and Just, Faithful and True to ANSWER YOUR PRAYER! Abraham, while in his old age, and the age of his wife Sarah, was given a miracle; fatherhood. It shows the great gifts that our HEAVENLY FATHER is ready to give those who accept his Fatherly Love from above. His Son Jesus did everything for you. You need only listen and obey. Abraham was promised something amazing (he almost didn’t believe it, but he did), he would become the father of countless others. The number of stars in the sky can’t even be fully counted by our feeble minds. If you choose to live OUT YOUR FAITH in the midst of the increasingly dark times, remember one thing; one of my life verses:
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. ~Revelation 2:10 KJV
Today, the Lord was really starting to impress upon me the value of the number ten. It is a number of completion. There are 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit; but who can fully and perfectly embody them all? Jesus Christ, the first and last Good Fruit, because He Himself is the Messiah! Whenever you are struggling, do these two things — take three deep breaths, remind yourself of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit! Remember, if you Seek First Christ Jesus and HIS KINGDOM, which is coming but not yet ready to be revealed yet, you will inherit a portion and prize that no one can touch or destroy because Jesus prepared it just for you! Life is a great gift, but Time with the Lord FOREVER is the best! This life will not allow you to fully experience that gift! God honors those willing to lay down their lives for others. The selfish who wish to preserve their lives will not be preserved. Commit your life to Jesus and it WILL NOT BE WASTED, but made amazing in the grand scheme of God’s story!
