To be quite honest, the book of Isaiah is a long one. However, like every single thing contained in the word of God, it makes up a very important piece of the Holy Bible, the most important collection of words ever written — the Inspired Word of the One True and Living God. My favorite portion at the current time is Chapter 6 where Isaiah is commissioned by the LORD.
Isaiah 6:8 | Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Is this where your heart is at today? To be honest, I cannot say that my heart is always willing to do what needs to be done; naturally we like to come up with excuses or ways out. Sometimes we grow weary from the journey or think so little of ourselves that we doubt the LORD Jesus can still use us for His Glory. However, one of the things that I have learned about God through my years as a believer is that when we are at our wit’s end, Jesus Christ always delivers at the perfect moment, our moment of greatest need. Even when you have given up on yourself, Jesus remains faithful in his loving pursuit of you! Even when you are not fully committed to Him, He is committed to you! How amazing is that? Now, how much more will He show us His Love if we commit 100% to Him? It won’t always be easy, but you will have a sense of quiet confidence that can only come from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
Even when you are struggling to fully grasp God’s plan for your life, still be willing to go and fight for HIM. If not for yourself, fight for OTHERS. Jesus summed up the Law and the Prophets in two commands, “Love God [FIRST] & Love Others” because our Love for God will naturally pour out into a love for our friends, enemies, and complete strangers. The Vertical and Horizontal Relationships (as a dear friend & former college roommate Evan in the Faith taught me in more depth) are what this life is all about. The Cross of Jesus Christ brought into full effect. If we have reverent Fear of the Lord and Trust in Him for all of our needs, we have everything we could ever ask for. Do not fear what man will do to you; rather, fear the Lord who has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell (Matthew 10:28).
Jesus’ heart persists, that not one of His Sheep would be lost. Trust me when I say this: He will corral every single soul that belongs to Him before He returns. But remember, you are living in the day of evil. The whole world is corrupt, do you not see it all around you? Jesus is calling us higher and above the ways of the world. He is calling us even closer to HIM. We are tasked with the most important mission of our time, Fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20)!
I pray that you would come higher in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ! Seek to understand what the Great Commission looks like in your daily life! Earnestly seek the Lord Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus, the Messiah) in all things and He will never let you down!
May the Lord’s peace, blessings, and safety go with you & remain with you ALWAYS!
