On that day nearly 2,000 years ago, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ engaged in something so beautiful and so painful (for Him and the Father) that it has taken the entirety of history up until the present day to even attempt to fully grasp the gravity of that one act of sacrifice. Jesus was not a man of decadence; rather, he was/is/always will be a humble and faithful servant to Our Father in Heaven that He was obedient to death on a cross. We who are in Christ Jesus are called to live like He did. He even asked the Father if there was another way; there was not. God may be calling you to something that seems crazy (where common sense can be an enemy to your Faith); but, if you listen and obey God, He will receive the Glory and you will receive your reward which is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ!
Galatians 6:7-8 | [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
The truth is this: the flesh is corruptible and you see it in our society (especially if you live in the United States). Society tells you to submit to your carnal desires now because it will make you “happy”. The Spirit tells you to embody the fruits of the Holy Spirit which tell you to be patient and wait for your reward that is in Heaven (Galatians 5). “A friend of the world is an enemy of God.” In other words, “A friend of the flesh (corrupted society) is an enemy to the Spirit.” As it is spoken in the latter part of the New Testament, the spirit of the antichrist is out there trying to deceive and trick as many people as they can out of following The Way (which is saving Faith in Jesus Christ). If you truly love your life, you will lose it and reap destruction. If you don’t love you life (enough to die for your faith) and sow seeds of the Holy Spirit, you will gain life everlasting.
Hebrews 10:31 | It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
This verse brings me back to a Psalm and a few Proverbs that simply start with: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning…” What is it the beginning of? Check out the following scriptures and you will see: Proverbs 9:10, Psalm 111:10, & Proverbs 1:7. Additionally, I would encourage you to read this bible study (link) that seeks to show us what reverent fear of the Lord looks like.
One day, every KNEE WILL BOW & EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS, that Jesus Christ is Lord. Some will do it willingly and enter into the Everlasting Joy of their Master. Others will do it unwillingly and will enter into everlasting contempt because of their error. My prayer for you is that something is tugging on your heart to make sure that you DO NOT unwillingly confess the Lord Jesus! Listen to that tugging; Jesus Christ wants to enter into your heart and help you grow by the person of the Holy Spirit!
My heart and prayer for you is that this message would NOT FALL UPON DEAF EARS. I don’t know who you are, but I do not care. I am called to love my friends, my enemies, and strangers all the same (Hebrews 13:2). Jesus Christ came, lived knowing not everyone would accept His free gift of salvation, still died for EVERYONE, and rose again on third day! And the most amazing thing is this: HE WANTS TO BE YOUR FRIEND! The thing that baffles a lot of people is this: why would God love me if my sin put His Son on the Cross? That is a lie straight from the enemy. Sin was brought into the world by the enemy. Your sin is naturally what comes with life because we were born into that nature. If you desire for Jesus to be your sacrifice & you desire is to come to SAVING FAITH in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, angels are rejoicing! I like to think Jesus is jumping for Joy because another has allowed Him to come sit on the throne of their heart! It won’t be easy, but it will by far be the best thing you ever do, because it will secure the eternal well-being of your soul!
ALL PEOPLE AND FRIENDS, remember this enduring word– profess it and believe it with all of you heart until your dying breath and beyond — Jesus is/has been/and always will be the Son of God, IS the Only True Prophet by which the Prophets of the Old Testament were inspired, and is the SOURCE OF ALL TRUTH! Everyone will see on the Day of the Lord who the True MESSIAH is — and it is Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus, the Messiah/Christ)!
