1 Chronicles 12:32: “From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do—200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command.”
The sons of Issachar were gifted with understanding the signs of the times for the betterment of Israel, God’s chosen people. As Christians today, we are God’s chosen people in this generation and we need that gift today more than ever.
We have always lived in a time where the world is upside down, and scripture clearly outlines this:
Ephesians 5:8-16: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
Thus, as Children of Light we must not only know and understand the evil times we live in — we must expose this evil and advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ at every opportunity.
There is a Great Revival coming and by the Power of the Holy Spirit, we can be like the sons of Issachar. I also recommend you read 1 Chronicles 12 in its entirely. It will help you understand that the story of these warriors who joined David is just as relevant now as it was then. We must unite under the banner of Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, and become warriors for Him in this generation.
As descendants of the Tribes of Israel through the Holy Spirit and in heritage, we must employ all the gifts of the Holy Spirit to bring about the Great Revival the Lord prophesied about in the last days. Although the times are evil and there must also be a great falling away (or apostasy), we are God’s chosen remnant who will usher in His Kingdom on the earth.
Lastly, I recommend you study the Book of Revelation thoughtfully to understand what it says. Not so we can “predict” future events, but to recognize that we are living in a time foretold in the final book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ. We need to preach about Him and bring as many into the fold as possible to save them from a great deception that is already upon us. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I admonish you to be bold, seek spiritual gifts, and seek out the lost people in this world, and make disciples of all nations. We can and we will do it. Will you join me?
God bless you, these United States of America, and the whole world that is filled with people who are hungry for God and earnestly desire to know exactly who He is. Amen.
