This will be one of my shorter posts because defeating the enemy is simple. But I will also give you some practical ways to destroy Satan’s kingdom.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. Romans 16:20
The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:7
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19
Several takeaways from these verses.
First, you must claim victory through salvation in Jesus Christ. Otherwise, you have no victory over the devil and he can easily access you and mess with you. It’s that simple, victory over the enemy comes from the work of Jesus on the cross.
Second, once you have claimed this victory, live it out! How do you destroy Satan? Love people and share Jesus with them and win people to the Lord. Satan hates people and wants to destroy them. Evil is pervasive in this generation because of Satan, but nothing crushes him more than helping rescue someone from the pits of hell.
Some final reminders. Satan is under your feet as a believer. He cannot hurt you unless you give him access. This world (Satan’s fallen kingdom) doesn’t dictate to you, you dictate to the world. When you have the Holy Spirit, Satan is permanently banished if you remain on fire for God until you go to be with Him.
Do these things, and you will have victory. Get involved in ministries, go on mission trips, pray in the Holy Spirit, and dive into the Word wholeheartedly. Ask God to reveal awesome and powerful things in your life and He will richly bless you! Advancing the Gospel is ultimately what crushes Satan. So do it!
