If this was your last day on the earth, do you know where you’d go when you pass away?
Heaven and hell are real places and every single person who has ever lived will spend eternity in one of those two places.
Talking about Jesus, Acts 4:12 reads, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Jesus himself said in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Lastly, as it says in Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
With all the craziness and uncertainty in the world, wouldn’t it be great to know that no matter what happens, you’re going to heaven? If you are ready to make that decision, please pray this prayer aloud from the bottom of your heart:
“Heavenly Father,
I give you my life right now! Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins.
I repent! Forgive me, and make me new! I believe in my heart, you raised Jesus from the dead. And I confess with my mouth, that Jesus Christ is my LORD and my Savior.
Holy Spirit, fill me with your power. Guide me daily from here on out and empower to never return to a life of sin. Give me a heart for the lost and make me a soul winner!
I declare that I am saved, I am born-again, and I am going to Heaven!
In Jesus name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer and meant business with God, you just as saved as I am. Seriously, I am so excited for you and there’s a party in heaven right now as we speak because you made that decision!
But it doesn’t stop here. What happens next is important. Here are some things that you need to do to ensure you grow in your walk with the LORD:
- Pray and read your bible daily. I recommend buying a physical bible and downloading the Bible app and other apps that have commentaries.
- Get plugged into a church that preaches straight from the Word (not watered down or preaches in a way as to not offend people) and is open to the moving of the Holy Spirit. If people in your church are indistinguishable from people in the world, that’s a problem.
- Cut people out of your life that will try to drag you back into a life of sin.
- Surround yourself with Godly men and women who will help you grow in your walk with the LORD.
- Get involved in groups at your church, like a Bible study.
- Ask God how He would have you serve in your church or volunteer your time to ministries that seek to win souls.
- Tithe (10% of your gross income) and ask God about sowing seeds (giving offerings) above and beyond that.
